In this short tutorial, I’ll tell you how I get high PR (4-6) backlinks using Tumblr.
OKAY lets go...
Create a new account on tumblr.com (I recommend using mail.com emails for that as you can create as many emails as you want).
Make sure you use your keyword as your URL when signing up. It won’t let you use spaces but you can add hyphens instead.
So if your keyword is “Brooklyn gold training” then you’d put “Brooklyn-golf-training” in the URL field.
Now verify your email.
After verifying your email, login to your tumblr account.
On tumblr dashboard, click on “text” to create a new text post.
Your new post doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just put up a your keyword in title and body and you’re good.
Now click on “untitled” or whatever it is at the upper right corner of the page.
Then click on “customize appearance”
Then on “theme” :
And skip all those paid themes and scroll down to some free one.
Then click on “save + close” :
Now you see we have that “settings” link, click that. This one:
(If you don’t customize your theme, you won’t see that settings page there, so its important to customize your theme).
In the URL section, check the box saying “Use a custom domain name”.
And then put in your money site URL (for which you want the backlinks).
Make sure you don’t use any “http” or slashes whatsoever… Just a simple
URL like example.com or Brooklyngolftraining.com.
Click on “save preferences”.
The next step is to find some high PR tumblr pages. You can easily do that by scraping Google using this footprint:
site:tumblr.com “liked this”
inurl:.tumblr.com "liked this"
(Whichever works well for you).
Once you have scraped some decent amount of pages, run a PR
check using scrapebox or any other tools you have at your disposal. You
can use SEOquake for this. Sort them by page rank (in decending order).
And you’ll see there are many high PR (4-6) pages. Now all you have to do is, visit that high PR tumblr page and click on that heart symbol at the top right of the page. Like this:
Make sure you’re logged in when visiting that tumblr page or you won’t see the heart symbol .
Now refresh the page (may need to do it a couple times) and see, your
link is there right back to your site without any redirects whatsoever.
The only drawback is, you can’t use your right anchor text with this
method but hey, those are free PR6 backlinks.
That’s it, good luck.
PS: Many people will say its a nofollow link and doesn't count and all the stuff. Well, love it or leave it... A mix of high PR do-follow and no-follow links is what works for me.
PPS: You might be thinking, won't that high PR link point back to your tumblr blog? Well, the answer is NO. It will point straight the the URL you put in the custom URL box.
